'Cloudsphere' Is A Roguelite Deckbuilder Coming To PC In 2027 - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on April 30, 2026 @ 9:00 a.m. PDT

Cloudsphere is a roguelike deckbuilder where ship construction and deckbuilding are the same act.

A sky-leviathan called Al-Thul destroyed your home city. You salvaged a fragment of it, forged it into a flying fortress, and took to the clouds to hunt the thing that ended your world.

A roguelike deckbuilder where your ship is your deck. Build modular sky-vessels block by block - every module you install adds a card to your captain's deck. Every block you weld onto your vessel adds a corresponding card to your captain's deck. Install a mortar, draw a Barrage. Add a shield, draw a Brace. Your hand is your hull. Your hull is your strategy.

Combine 70+ modular blocks across weapons, utilities, defenses, and unique special parts. Then push them further - overclock blocks for raw power, combine adjacent modules into unique recipe blocks, and chase game-breaking synergies that turn a patchwork vessel into a leviathan-slayer. Choose from six captains and six ship frames, each unlocking new starting cards and build paths. No two runs play the same ship.

Chart a course between beacons through procedurally generated sky-routes. Face storms, whirlwinds, and the sudden yawn of sky-holes. Trade with strange sky-caravans. Fight ruthless pirates. Outrun - or hunt - the leviathans that cruise the deeper layers. At each beacon, choose between 2-3 paths forward. The paths you didn't take disappear. Waterfalls close behind you. There is no going back, only deeper.

Key Features:

  • Your ship is your deck. Every module you install adds a card to your captain's deck. Construction IS deckbuilding.
  • Overclock, combine, synergize. Push blocks beyond their limits. Weld a mortar to a cannon and forge a ballista. Chase the run-defining synergy.
  • 70+ modules, 6 captains, 6 ship frames. Dozens of archetypes. Thousands of decks. Every run is a new hull.
  • Sail the Cloudsphere. Branching sky-routes across three distinct layers - Shifting Tides, the Depths, and Bahazala. Storms, pirates, traders, leviathans.
    • Shifting Tides - the uppermost skies, where runs begin.
    • The Depths - darker clouds, stranger cargo, quieter threats.
    • Bahazala - the deepest biome, where Al-Thul holds court.
  • Hunt Al-Thul. Track the sky-leviathan that destroyed your home across a story-driven run that unfolds with every mission.
  • Difficulty that respects the veteran. Stack curses for escalating challenge, and unlock the alternate ending by beating the game under their weight.

Cloudsphere is coming to PC (Steam) in 2027 with a Nintendo Switch version being considered.
