NightRunner is a brutal evolution of the horde survival genre, combining extraction gameplay, dungeons, and tower defense into one relentless experience.

Inspired by Killing Floor, Call of Duty: Zombies (Tranzit), and Escape from Tarkov, every run is a high-risk, high-reward battle for survival, where intense co-op combat, strategic decision-making, and a blend of roguelite and persistent progression determine whether you escape with your loot or lose everything.

Take on dangerous Jobs, defend your train, search for gear, and finish side-missions in scavenging areas to prepare yourself for the even more dangerous jobs and dungeons ahead with unforgiving boss enemies.

To keep the gear you find, the train must successfully reach its destination. If the job fails, everything you brought and everything you found is lost.

314 Arts announced that the first playtest for NightRunner will launch this Saturday, October 3rd, and interested fans can sign up for the public playtest here.

Playable for the first time this weekend, the NightRunner playtest plunges players into the world of The Silent Blocks, tasked with defending their NightClaw Wagon against deadly mutants as they scavenge resources to keep the rails alive.

Defend, scavenge and extract as one of four playable Runners, each with unique kits that shape how you fight, scavenge, and support your crew. Upgrade your Runner-Tech with permanent unlocks to dominate runs and take on more challenging jobs. 

Explore scavenging zones to gather resources and acquire powerful loot, fighting through a ruthless world where every run is a high-risk, high-reward battle for survival, and where intense co-op combat, strategic decision-making, and a blend of roguelite and persistent progression determine whether you escape with your loot – or lose everything.
