GT 5 Prologue will be available for download/on Blu-ray, sporting improved AI, and for the first time include multiplayer up to 16 cars with integrated online features such as a profile editor and an online event calendar. While GT 5 Prologue releases next month (later this week in Europe), SCEA associate producer Chris Hinojosa-Miranda revealed that "GT5 is still about a year away" and, of course, encourages everybody to buy the Prologue edition until then.
