After it signed an agreement with Game Republic yesterday, Brash Entertainment today announced a game development deal with California-based game development studio, Factor 5 to develop a yet unnamed title scheduled for 2010, which will be officially announced around the E3 Expo in July.

God of War II director Cory Barlog, who recently left SCEA, has teamed up with writer-director-producer George Miller to develop a game based on the upcoming Mad Max: Fury Road movie. While details are still slim, the new game will be an action-adventure title, George Miller's first foray into the videogame business, featuring melee & projectile weapons, and of course hacked up vehicles, just as you would expect from a post apocalyptic setting.

Despite rumors and rumblings that Microsoft has been in talks with Sony to add Blu-ray support to the Xbox 360, with even Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer recently stating it will support Sony's standard, it may all be just smoke and mirrors. In a recent interview Group Marketing Manager for Xbox Aaron Greenberg made it clear "Xbox is not currently in talks with Sony or the Blu-ray Association to integrate Blu-ray" and may instead be putting its focus on "digital distribution of entertainment content."

'Guitar Hero' (ALL) Infringes on Patent, Says Gibson

After three years, Gibson, one of the exclusive partners of Activision's Guitar Hero franchise, claims the game infringes on one of its patents and has notified Activision. In 1999, Gibson filed a patent for technology simulating a live performance using a musical instrument, a 3D headset with stereo speakers, and a pre-recorded concert. Not wanting to sit by idly, Activision has filed a lawsuit asking the U.S. District Court for California to declare Gibson's patent invalid and to bar it from seeking damages.
