The oft-delayed Frame City Killer, which was originally supposed to be an Xbox 360 launch title, has officially been cancelled. The confirmation came from Namco Japan today, when asked why the game was absent from the E3 floor. An exact reason for the sudden termination was not given, but Namco wanted to express its continued support for the platform and said it is currently working on a new RPG. Frame City Killer was to be the first Unreal Engine 3 title handled by a Japanese developer.

Today Capcom confirmed that it is working on an all new, Wii exclusive, Resident Evil game combining the series' intense gaming experience and atmosphere with the revolutionary control system of the Wii. No specific release date was mentioned, but given that RE 5 is still in early stages of development, it might very well be that the Wii edition comes out before its other next-gen brethren.

Atari today announced one of the industry’s most aggressive pricing programs, GamersFirst. The two-fold, consumer-oriented program will begin on June 1st at participating retailers and will include a new price point of $19.99 on all existing PS2, Xbox, NGC, GBA and PC titles, while all PC titles will also be downloadable through Valve and Direct2Drive.

NCsoft announced that it has signed a strategic partnership agreement with SNK Playmore, in which each company will exchange IP rights to produce new games for their respective markets, giving NCsoft sole worldwide publishing rights to future PC online game titles developed by SNKP. NCsoft will also be able to use SNKP’s IP rights in its game titles, while enabling SNK to adopt NCsoft’s IP rights in producing and marketing products on game consoles and pachinko slots.
