Activision today confirmed that it has secured the North American publishing rights to Bloody Roar for the GameCube. For its North American release, the game, titled Bloody Roar Extreme in Japan, will be renamed to Bloody Roar: Primal Fury. The game will have five single-player modes and two two-player head-to-head modes. Release is set to Spring 2002.

VoodooExtreme just tossed up the story that the official Global Operations website just got re-launched. There will be 16 new screens and some other new media avaliable on the site.

The Free Form Mode mod, by Particle Systems, lets you to continue where the game ended, with all your cargo, ships, systems, and trades as they were at the end of the game. It also adds the ability to manually jump between the two clusters, and gives you trades for some advanced weaponry, so you can explore and pirate as you wish, and get any items you may have missed while playing through the game. Bigben Interactive, Europe's leading independent interactive distributor, today announced a new price point for Sega's 128bit next generation online gaming console, the Dreamcast. With immediate effect the Dreamcast will retail everywhere in stores at £69.99.

Kyoto, Japan Ð Nintendo, the second-largest video-game console maker, said it will ship more GameCube consoles than planned to meet demand in the US. Kyoto-based Nintendo, which expected to sell four million GameCube consoles by March, will send "several hundred thousand more," spokesman Yasuhiro Minagawa said. Nintendo will ship 4.5 million consoles, the Nihon Keizai newspaper said on Sunday.

Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. today announced that Max Payne has shipped and is currently available at retailers for the PlayStation 2.
