Third Wave Games Launches 'War World' - Screens

Video game veterans, Morten Brodersen, Johnni Christensen and Phillip Tavel have pooled their many years of experience in creating multimillion unit-selling franchises, and formed the new video game development house, Third Wave Games. The company's first game introduction will be War World, a mech-on-mech online combat game for the PC that will be available this fall.

The Leisure Suit Larry videogame franchise began in 1987 with The Land of the Lounge Lizards, the first of seven games in the series. Since then, the Leisure Suit Larry games have sold more than 35 millions of units worldwide, and its games are considered collector items. Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude is scheduled for release on next-generation consoles and the PC in late 2004.

Ubisoft today announced that it is developing a videogame based on the blockbuster Star Wars Trilogy for the Game Boy Advance in cooperation with LucasArts. Star Wars Trilogy: Apprentice of the Force is set to release late September 2004 to coincide with the launch of the highly anticipated Star Wars Trilogy DVD.
