Frozenbyte announced today that it will release Level Editor tools for its action game Shadowgrounds. The Level Editor will be released in April - right in time to coincide with the North American and United Kingdom retail releases of the game, which are set for April 18 and April 28, respectively.

Today SCEI revealed it is working on yet another title in the Ape Escape franchise. While details about Ape Escape: Million Monkeys are slim, it apparently does take place in real-world environments, such as Yokohama. Scheduled for spring 2006 release in Japan, no official announcement or release date for other territories has been announced.

Sony Confirms WorldWide PS3 Launch In November 2006

At its PlayStation business briefing in Tokyo Sony's Ken Kutaragi confirmed that the PlayStation 3 is coming in November 2006, plans for a worldwide launch with an initial availability of 6 million units, and an additional million units each month thereafter. Taking aim at Microsoft's Xbox Live, Sony plans for a similar online service (including lobby, voicechat etc.) with the basic formula being free. All PS2 and PSOne titles will be compatible and playable in HD. A price estimate for the console, or its titles, was not disclosed.
