PC Preview - 'City of Villains'

Genre: MMORPG
Publisher: NCSoft
Developer: Cryptic Studios
Release Date: TBA
Being a superhero is cool. Being a supervillain is cooler. At least that's the premise behind NCSoft's upcoming City of Villains, a quasi-expansion/standalone that can work together with the existing City of Heroes, or not, depending on whether you happen to own City of Heroes as well. It's kinda hard to describe, since I've never really seen a situation quite like this before. City of Villains will not require that you own City of Heroes to play, but some interactions between the two games will not be available. Likewise,

by Rainier on Jan. 1, 2006 @ 1:30 a.m. PST | Filed under E3 - Post - E3 2008
Publisher: Sega
Genre: Action Role-Playing
Developer: Secret Level
Release Date: Q4 2008
Golden Axe: Beast Rider is an odd beast because it both does and does not feel like a Golden Axe game. Initially, it's difficult to spot the elements that are related to Golden Axe but noticeably easier to spot the omissions. A single playable character and no multiplayer component could make some Golden Axe faithful scream in rage, but while some of the series' iconic gameplay has changed, much of the world setting has remained the same. Familiar monsters, both friendly and hostile, populate the

Release Date: Holiday 2007
We've seen the future of awesome, and its name is Rock Band.
Harmonix had set up shop in a small room to the far left of the converted cafeteria at Electronic Arts' Los Angeles compound, isolated from the noise and spectacle of the dozens of other titles on display. How did we know where to find our first look at the multi-instrumental explosion of collaborative rhythm? There was a line outside the door — stretched 12 or more people deep at times.
It was like going to

Genre: Action/Stealth
Publisher: Ubisoft
Developer: Ubisoft Montreal
Release Date: October 2009
A little while ago, Splinter Cell: Conviction vanished off the radar. It was originally supposed to come out in 2007, and there were even screenshots and videos of the game, which starred a long-haired, hobo-esque Sam Fisher who seemed to be very similar to Jason Bourne. However, sometime before the release, the game was quietly put on hold, and all info about it seemed to vanish. Earlier this year, Ubisoft revealed that the game was alive and well but had been completely reimagined. At E3 this
