Age of Empires III is an RTS set in 1500 A.D. and chronicles the Age of Discovery that started around the time that Columbus discovered the new world. Ensemble revealed that it is working on a new v1.02 patch which will address hardware compatibility issues, sound stuttering issues, fixes for Direct3D, Stability and Crash Issues, hotkey Editor. On top of that, Ensemble is trying to include 5 maps based on current ones available in the game, just made larger.

RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Wild combines thrilling coasters with extreme animal parks. Atari has released the first patch for the North American edition of the game, which fixes the slight drop in framerate at night when constructing extended coasters.

Market researchers NPD Group announced that U.S. retail sales of video games in October fell to $365 million, down 24 percent from a year earlier, console game sales were around $294 million, while sales of handheld games were about $71 million.

Valve lastest Steam Update has a few details on what to expect in the near future regarding C-S Source and DoD Source. Over the next few weeks Valve'll have updates coming for both aforementioned titles, starting with one new level for each. Last week it was announced that an updated de_nuke will be making its return to Counter-Strike, and this week Valve revealed a new DoD Source map, named Argentan.
