SCEA today confirmed its plan to increase the initial launch shipment of the highly anticipated PSP to one million units. Extraordinary consumer response to PSP on a global scale has led to the company making an upward revision in preparation for its North American launch on March 24. This figure is part of the company's overall three million-unit worldwide shipment estimate by the close of its fiscal year ending March 31.

Back in October EA announced the newest edition in the MoH franchise, successor to Rising Sun, Medal of Honor: Dogs of War. Originally scheduled for early 2005, it was then delayed to Q1 2006 (April through June) and now news has come in that the title has been renamed MoH: European Assault to better appeal to the overseas market, and more accurately reflect the setting of the game itself, the European theatre of war.

'Act of War: Direct Action' Goes Gold

Atari today announced that Act of War: Direct Action, a near-future, techno-thriller for personal computer, featuring a story created and written by New York Times best-selling author Dale Brown and nearly one hour of original, live-action feature film footage has gone gold and is on schedule for its March 15 ship date.

Championship Manager Online is a stand-alone massive multiplayer online football management simulation. As well as testing your managerial skills against thousands of human opponents, the game offers a "buddy league" mode that lets you compete in a league against just your friends. Championship Manager Online is being developed by online games specialist Jadestone in conjunction with Beautiful Game Studios, developer of the PC version of Championship Manager.
