Effective March 30, the Xbox will be available for a handsome $149.99 in the United States and $199.99 in Canada, representing a significant savings of $30 for consumers in both regions. In addition, Microsoft will reduce the price of the Xbox console in Mexico to $1,999 pesos, which translates to a consumer savings of $500 pesos or roughly $45 (U.S.).

At last week's GDC, Developer Oddworld Inhabitants revealed that it's latest OddWorld product, Steef's Oddysee, will no longer be published by Microsoft. Due to this development the name has been changed to "Stranger", which is also the name of the main character. Oddworld Inhabitants says that eventhough Microsoft no longer publishes the product, it will most likely remain an Xbox exclusive, and although so far no other publishers is known, Stranger, is scheduled for end of the year.
