Battlefield: Bad Company, using DICE's new Frostbite game engine, drops gamers behind enemy lines with a squad of renegade soldiers who risk it all on a personal quest for gold and revenge. DICE has just finished a free update that will add the Conquest mode in the near future, and is currently working on a patch to address online performance, VOIP issues, stats exploits, more balancing, etc.

EA are aware that some X360 players are having issues connecting to the Bad Company servers, and are working with several partners to eradicate any hostiles we encounter. As a temp. workaround fix it is recommended to turn off the console for 20 mins and reconnect.

Based on a leaked PDF of an investor report,
Digital Battle has revealed what could be the first info on Battlefield 3, scheduled for late 2008. Set in modern times, BF3 will feature NATO vs. MEC, each side having access to different vehicles (24) and weapons (17), as well as plenty of unlockables, including an additional 22 weapons. Powered by an updated FrostBite engine, BF3 will have 5 playable classes (Sniper, Assault, Engineer, Medic and Support), 8 maps, supporting up to 40 players per team. Officially the game is supposed to be announced January, with a possible open beta planned for summer 2008.
