The latest issue of GameInformer seems to have received inside information that EA/DICE are currently not only working on Battlefield 2142, but are also already in the process of creating a sequel to Battlefield Modern Combat, although the new title Battlefield: Bad Company will stricly be for next-gen consoles, and unlike its predecessor, will mostly be aimed at a singleplayer experience. An EA community update reveals details on the next Battlefield 2 v1.3 patch, which will add a Co-op Mode, allowing you to play singeplayer levels on the Internet and LAN with both AI controlled bots and human players, and also allows you to send request for air dropping vehicles at your location. The new patch will of course also fix a few bugs, crashes and add several gameplay tweaks.

EA and DICE issued a statement saying they are aware of people experiencing problems with the headset communicator and are working on a patch to resolve the issue. A temporary workaround is to log out of Xbox Live and then log back in. People with the full retail version and the marketplace demo may have issues with cross-game invites. To correct this, just delete the marketplace demo from your Xbox 360, since all of the demo content is contained in the full retail version.

Battlefield 2: Modern Combat developer DICE has announced that the Xbox 360 edition has been delayed. Originally scheduled for later this month, it has been postponed until April 11, 2006.
