Commemorating the 20th anniversary of the franchise, the live-action Street Fighter film will be distributed in North America by 20th Century Fox in Feb. 2009. The movie, which began filming in March 2008, stars Kristin Kreuk (Chun-Li) and is directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak, known for Speed and Lethal Weapon 4. The Street Fighter storyline remains the same (the lead character searches for her father, who had mysteriously disappeared) and will show off exquisite action sequences.
