'UnderMire' Gets November Release Date, Introduces Latest Playable Character And Shows Off Gameplay - Trailer

by Rainier on Oct. 12, 2026 @ 10:55 p.m. PDT

UnderMire is a 1-4 player first person co-op roguelite adventure where you descend into a magical, ever-changing bunker to confront the dark forces that lie within.

In UnderMire you descend into an ever-changing magical bunker, battling fear-fuelled monsters, overcoming hazards and uncovering the mysteries hidden beneath an old English manor. Proximity voice chat adds another layer of chaos as players work together, or panic together, when things go wrong.

Players can choose from four distinct characters: Hannah, Leo, Rawiah and Sam, each bringing their own personality, playstyle and tools to the fight.

The Bunker itself is constantly changing, with multiple biomes filled with enemies, bosses, traps and puzzles. Players will need to manage their fear gauge, complete strange tasks, discover secrets and adapt to whatever the Bunker throws at them.

And when conventional weapons aren't enough, there is always the SMUSH system. Almost anything can be combined and repurposed into something useful, from healing items to improvised explosives and bizarre elemental weapons. In UnderMire, one person's trash really can become another person's arsenal.

Publisher/developer Table Knight Games has revealed that UnderMire will descend onto PC via Steam on Friday, November 13, 2026.

Alongside the release date, the new trailer introduces Rawiah, the latest playable character to join UnderMire’s increasingly chaotic roster. Armed with a spell-casting tome, Rawiah brings a distinctly magical approach to dealing with the horrors lurking within the Mire. Table Knight Games is also unveiling brand-new key art featuring the full playable roster, bringing Hannah, Leo, Rawiah and Sam together for the first time.

The new trailer gives players their first look at the first layer of the Bunker, including a brand-new grassy biome, new gameplay and a particularly unwelcome encounter with the elusive Mothman. Is the mysterious creature a warning of the chaos to come, or is it the one bringing the chaos itself?

A free playable demo is available now, giving players the chance to descend into the Bunker ahead of launch.

Key Features

  • Magical tools with mods: Each character wields a powerful magical tool that defines their playstyle. Master your tool in each run for a powerful boost, and fuse curious mods into them to add new gameplay and playstyles.
  • Explore an ever-changing bunker: Twisted by dark magic, the bunker shifts with every new run. Beginning with a familiar office and home environment, you will descend into wilder areas like the underground garden and eventually reach the dark magic nexus.
  • Face your fears: Battle the mischievous fearmongers, enemies born from your own dark side, and bosses that grow more dangerous the deeper you go.
  • Improvised gameplay collides with co-op chaos: Break and fix bunker systems like power and lighting, use elemental magic to electrify water or burn wooden obstacles, and use your items and tools to overcome unpredictable hazards and defeat the enemies which lurk in the shadows.
  • SMUSH everything: Combine everyday junk and bizarre food items including, cell phone batteries, hairspray cans, and frogspawn sandwiches into wild elemental weapons and potions. Experiment to adapt and survive.
  • Spooky-cozy: Take a break between runs in the Den, the cozy basement at the top of the bunker. Upgrade your character and tools, and learn more about the spooky history of the manor that you're trapped beneath, and those who once lived there… and those who might still be there…
  • Co-op craziness: Play solo or with up to 4 players in drop-in/drop-out online co-op. Proximity voice chat keeps things immersive... or hilariously loud.
  • Fearful consequences: Spooky events will raise your fear gauge - keep it under control or run the risk of triggering strange hallucinations, or even worse - spawning the creatures you thought you had forgotten.
  • Cat quests: Meet McClane, a thousand year old spirit cat who was there at the start of all this mess. Perform unusual tasks for this cantankerous cat, and he’ll help you uncover the deepest secrets of the bunker.

UnderMire is coming to PC (Steam) on November 13, 2026.
