Built for fans of tight, decision‑driven strategy, Scallywags puts players in command of a pirate ship powered by a magical Bow Spirit. Every run becomes a story of survival, improvisation, ambition and obviously plunder, as you challenge nine Pirate Aces.

Players boss their Scallywags around, assign them to critical ship stations, and juggle the constant pressure of magical attacks, fires, leaks, and incoming cannon fire. Each station offers unique tactical benefits: man the Helm to boost evasion, crew the Sails for extra speed, or load the Cannons to pummel your prey.

The Bow Spirit adds a layer of magical power to the chaos. Players can launch meteors, summon wave shields, or whip enemy crews into cyclones, but each ability requires specific crew assignments to charge. A Sea Chanty might power up a Meteor, but while your Scallywag is busy charging the ability, nobody’s bailing water or putting out the blaze spreading across the deck.

The goal is simple: become a Pirate Legend. The path is anything but. Nine rival Pirate Aces are chasing the same title, each with their own combat style. To claim the crown, players must accept their bounty, hunt them down, and challenge them directly.

Drawing influence from games like Faster Than Light and Bomber Crew, Scallywags aims to deliver the thrill of real‑time crew management within an untraditional pirate setting. Inspired by alternate pirate fantasies such as One Piece, Scallywags embraces a tone of ambition, heart, and larger‑than‑life pirate adventure, without leaning on familiar clichés.

Developer FloWHOA serves as both developer and publisher on this project, bringing a wealth of live service and action game expertise to this new title. Goode personally spearheaded the development effort, bringing together his passion for crew management strategy games with a pirate aesthetic that emphasizes creativity over cliché.
