Viva Media and 10tacle studios announced today that GTR: FIA GT Racing Game is ready to release in the United States and will ship to major retail locations on May 3rd, 2005. GTR is the new ultra-realistic simulation based on the FIA GT Championship racing series featuring the most exciting sport cars of the world as well as the prestigious "24 Hours of Spa" race.

Imperial Glory promises to be the most extensive strategy game ever, offering an in-depth management model along with graphically stunning real-time land and naval battles in full 3D. Choose which of the five great 19th century Empires to lead: Great Britain, France, Russia, Prussia or Austro-Hungary, each with their own unique attributes. Expected in stores May 17th.

2K Games today announced that Stronghold 2 for PC has shipped and is currently available in retail stores across North America. Stronghold 2 will be available in European stores on April 22nd.

Not much of a secret for the past year, but 2K Games today officially announced Serious Sam II, the much-anticipated return of Sam "Serious" Stone to PC and the Xbox.

Kayak Interactive today announced that it has acquired the assets of Chasma Interactive Publishing, based in New Hampshire. Akella today announced that it is heading towards North America and will be attending the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) held in Los Angeles, California May 18-20, 2005. The latest Famitsu issue has the first details for Capcom's newest title in the Onimusha series. Expected spring 2006 in Japan, Dawn of Dreams is situated in 1598 and will have several new features and additions over previous titles, such as a new camera system, updated graphics and optimized gameplay mechanics. Last week Capcom put a countdown clock on its Japanese website, indicating an announcement was coming Saturday. Whether this was meant for Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams is not clear at the moment. Matrix Games and Koios Works today announced that the latest game in the Tin Soldiers series, Tin Soldiers: Julius Caesar has officially “Gone Gold” and will be available for sale from the Matrix Games website within a week. Caesar has several major improvements including a full 3D camera and non-linear campaigns.

SCEI is working on a sequel to what a lot of people call one of the best games of all time, ICO. Carrying a somewhat odd name, 'Wanda And The Colossus,' now known in Europe as Shadow of the Colossus, is situated in the same universe as its prequel, but will follow a totally different story line. Back in 2001 Mindscape released DayDream's Ski-Doo X-Team Racing, and now that Resolution Interactive has acquired the rights, it will update the game with the latest 2006 sled models from Bombardier, update the engine and also port it to Xbox and PS2.
