'The Mysterious Journey' Developer Closes Doors

Adventure Gamers is reporting that Polish developer Detalion, known for The Mysterious Journey and Sentinels: Descendant in Time no more. "Detalion had quietly laid off a significant portion of its staff several months ago, but continued to seek ways to resume operations until this latest move became necessary. According to Maciej Miasik, game producer and co-owner of Detalion, the company still officially exists for the time being, and could yet restart activities if they're successful in their ongoing attempts to secure funding. However, there are no current plans for development of another project, and the outlook is not hopeful."

Valve's SteamPowered website has been updated with details regarding yet another update for its Source SDK which adds motion mapper, new example character model, new character creation documentation, QC eyes tool, more in-depth shader examples and a fix to the dedicated server. Just restart steam for the effects to take place. Valve also announced that they have selected the three winners from the Half-Life 2: Deathmatch map competition, the winning maps will get added somewhere during the course of the month.
