Codemasters today announced that it has shipped Operation Flashpoint: Resistance, the official expansion pack for Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis, 2001’s multiple Game of the Year award winner and world-wide number one best-selling PC war simulator. Codemasters redefines the traditional “expansion pack” with Resistance, as it not only adds additional missions, but also vastly improves the engine and gameplay of the original game. Operation Flashpoint: Resistance is currently available at retail outlets nationwide for an SRP of $29.99.

A new version of the Day of Defeat Half Life Modification is now available, with four separate downloads to choose from, depending on whether you are upgrading a Beta 2.1 Windows or Linux installation or doing a full install for either OS. The new 3.0 version offers loads of fixes and enhancements, including the addition of a new "Para" gameplay mode, cutscenes, removable helmets, and a new spectator system. BAM! Entertainment just let us know that, in celebration of the upcoming theatrical debut of Reign of Fire, they’ve launched a new website dedicated to the upcoming game. The new Reign of Fire website features some amazing new screenshots (for xbox,ps2/gba versions), artwork, and the first game trailer. Reign of Fire makes its theatrical debut on July 12th with the Xbox, PlayStation 2, GameCube and Game Boy Advance game following in the fall. The 3DO Company today announced the development of the Army Men: Air Combat “The Elite Missions” game for the Nintendo GameCube system. The Army Men: Air Combat “The Elite Missions” game follows the exploits of the heroic Captain Blade and his Alpha Wolf Squadron as they once again take to the skies in support of the Green Army in their ongoing struggle with the Tan forces. The game is planned to ship in time for Christmas 2002.

As mentioned earlier today LucasArts would be releasing the v1.04 update for Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, here it is (a nice 9mb big). Also new dedicated servers for linux/win32 are now available. Vae Victis Incorporated is pleased to announce its upcoming tactical action game, codenamed Shadow, based on modern military special operations. Players will be immersed in a setting of black operations and clandestine political agendas in a multiplayer environment. Selecting from one of ten different elite Special Forces from around the world including US Navy Seals, UK SAS, and Russian Spetsnaz, players will battle in missions based on actual locations.
