As SOE celebrates the 10th year of EverQuest, it announced two new expansions: EverQuest Underfoot (16th expansion, adding a new underground zone, Nov. 2090) and EverQuest II Sentinel’s Fate (Feb. 2010, increases level cap to 90, so you can play lower level areas with a high level character and get easy experience, integration of various achievements). These new chapters add to the EQ legacy and will deliver even more exciting adventures for fans.

Originally a GBA title back in 2006, Black Sigil: Blade of the Exiled is an Active-Time Tactical Combat RPG, featuring traditional turn-based combat which requires players to observe the positions of their characters as well as the enemies'. Last year, SEGA announced that it had several Aliens projects in the works: an FPS by Gearbox and an RPG by former Black Isle Studios devs, Obsidian. When SEGA announced it has tasked UK-based Rebellion to develop a new Aliens vs. Predator game, rumors started flying about the demise of Gearbox's FPS and Obsidian's RPG, but while Aliens: Colonial Marines is confirmed to be in development, Obsidian today revealed that its RPG is dead in the water (since Feb.), and SEGA confirmed that it has no plans to move forward with the Aliens RPG ....

Dragon Age: Origins represents BioWare’s return to its roots, delivering a fusion of elements from existing fantasy works with emotionally-driven narrative, heart-pounding combat, powerful magic abilities and credible digital actors.

With Activision's Guitar Hero being a phenomenon, EA's Rock Band going strong, and the branching out of the franchises (DJ Hero, latest Tony Hawk), it is only normal that other publishers/developers are jumping on the bandwagon. THQ chief executive Brian Farrell revealed that they are also working on a peripheral-based game, saying it's "different from anything else out there and will give us a competitive advantage," although whether or not it's a music-based game was not mentioned.

Section 8 is a futuristic FPS that brings strategy and tactics to the genre in a game where players can modify the battlefield on the fly. You are part of an elite infantry squad with a penchant for taking on suicide missions that no one else will tackle.

The G.I. Joe video game will feature an exclusive storyline that picks up where the live-action movie leaves off, allowing players to re-create and re-live the greatest moments from the film, cartoon series and action figure toy line.

Set in the near future Raven Squad is a unique blending of RTS and FPS genres, as the game puts you in control of two groups of mercenary squads who crash land behind enemy lines in the Amazonian jungles. It will require tactical planning and a liberal amount of brute force to escape to safety.
