SEGA announced the development of its 2005 arcade gun game Ghost Squad, adding a number of new Wii-specific gameplay modes and using the Wiimote as a multi-purpose tool that allows players to easily control the targeting of on-screen enemies, defuse bombs, and rescue hostages.

SEGA's Universe at War: Earth Assault, developed by Petroglyph, is a combat-intensive RTS game enlisting players in an epic struggle to prevent total alien domination of planet Earth.

The Last Remnant is Square Enix's latest RPG game, powered by the Unreal Engine 3, to be officially announced later this week at the Square-Enix Party. This single-player only title is scheduled to be released in Japan and North America simultaneously, with two main characters, each one appealing to a specific territory.

Rise of Kunark introduces a new playable race, the Sarnak. This dragon-like humanoid inhabits the jungle islands of Timorous Deep, a new starting location for adventurers. Timorous Deep presents a wealth of new content for levels 1-20, and is one of the many new zones being developed for this expansion.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. provides players with dynamic gameplay of fast and tough combats, where you face intelligent enemies, wield a diversity of weapons, control machinery, in a team based story-driven single player game, and multiplayer with numerous modes.

THQ announced Worms: Open Warfare 2 for PSP and NDS. Players will be able to challenge others from all over the world via multiplayer battles using a wireless connection as they command their worms through clashes that take place in famous battles of the past, as well as fictional fights of the future.

Microsoft Game Studios and Realtime Worlds today announced that there is still more crime to be purged and new ways to purge it with the release of both free and premium downloadable content for its open-world action title Crackdown, available for download from Xbox Live Marketplace today.
