Penny Arcade announced that its keynote speaker will be writer, actor and geek icon Wil Wheaton, best known for his role as Wesley Crusher on Star Trek: The Next Generation. PAX is to be held Aug. 24-26 at the Washington State Trade and Convention Center in Seattle.

In honor of the 25th anniversary of Tron, Disney Interactive Studios today announced the classic arcade games Tron and Discs of Tron will be re-released this summer through Xbox LIVE Arcade for the Xbox 360.

Last year THQ announced it would bring SimBin's GTR to the Xbox 360, but it hasn't been heard of since, and now we know why. THQ confirms that it is no longer publishing the FIA GT Championships-based racing game, and instead will focus on its own racing licenses such as Juiced, MX and Stuntman. Whether Simbin has already found a new publishing partner is not known at this point.

THQ announced that it has entered into a development agreement with Big Huge Games, known for Rise of Nations, for a brand new RPG scheduled for release on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in 2009.
