Vivendi Universal Games announced today that Homeworld2, the sequel to 1999's award-winning, space-based real-time strategy game, Homeworld, has gone gold and will ship to North American retailers September 16, 2003. Homeworld 2, the sequel to one of 1999's highly acclaimed RTS games, returns players to the helm of the most powerful space armada in the universe as they battle to keep their home. The highly-anticipated follow up title includes multiplayer competition for up to five other players, in addition to an engrossing single player saga, and features startling space effects like dust gas clouds, wispy nebulae, and ghostly derelict hulks of space ships rendered with spectacular Hollywood-style special effects.

Techland announced today that the worldwide version of Chrome goes gold. Chrome is a tactical FPP shooter taking place in distant future. Colonization of a newly discovered planetary system is the background for the game. Chrome offers photorealistic graphics depicting vast, forested terrain and unique playability based on the implant system, vehicles, and freedom of the player during the missions. Further strengthening its racing games legacy, Namco Hometek Inc. announced today that it has purchased Street Racing Syndicate (SRS) out of video game publisher 3DO's bankruptcy court proceedings. Currently in development at UK-based studio, Eutechnyx Ltd., Street Racing Syndicate puts players behind the wheel in the fast-paced world of underground motorsports. Under Namco's new charge, the title will release in Q3 2004 on the next generation game consoles.

Midway Games Inc. announced today that Mortal Kombat: Tournament Edition, the Game Boy Advance sequel to Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, has shipped. From Midway's best-selling Mortal Kombat franchise comes Mortal Kombat: Tournament Edition, an exclusive videogame for the Game Boy Advance, delivering multi-link play and "karnage" that offers Mortal Kombat's infamous brutality. Over at PlanetMedalOfHonor they got official word from their sources about the Medal Of Honor Allied Assault: Breakthrough demo. Expected a bit later as mentioned before, it now should arrived the first or second week in September. The demo will be multiplayer and will feature maps and weapons from the Italian campaign, and will also incorporate the new Liberation mode play-style (thanks GenGamers). Of course we will have the puppy up on our file servers as soon as it's available!

HonourBound Ltd and Alchemic Dream Inc have just concluded an agreement concerning the publishing and management of the game Adellion in German, Spanish, French and English. Alchemic Dream Inc will take care of the server hosting, payment management, marketing and community management. Adellion is a MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) in a medieval setting.
