GMX Media today announced that it is to publish the blockbuster PC title – Runaway: A Road Adventure. The game follows Brian, a student on the verge of graduating from college, is suddenly and mysteriously attacked by Mafia gangsters. During his desperate flight, in the company of a mysterious striptease dancer, he ends up meeting a wide range of unusual characters. But he has to figure out who's trying to help him or kill him. The player will have to be very ingenious to figure it out who's his friend or foe in this explosive mixture of murder, money, ambition, rituals and deception...a whole lot of deception. In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets players enter fantastical free-roaming 3D environments from Harry's world. Players become Harry Potter and delve not only into Harry's world, but also into his personality, via an internal "voice." Conversing with unique characters like Moaning Myrtle, shopping in Diagon Alley, and exploring the convoluted corridors of Hogwarts, players make crucial and independent decisions within Harry's world. The demo offers two levels from the full retail PC game, which is based on the movie of the same name. PS2.IGN confirmed with Sierra Studios today that an original, forthcoming X-Files game is in development for PS2 and Xbox in spring 2003. The upcoming X-Files game, as of yet untitled, is a single-player survival-horror game in development with Black Ops (Street Hoops, Knockout Kings, BlackDawn) for PS2 and Xbox, and scheduled for a Q2 2003 release date. Actors Jillian Anderson and David Duchovny will pitch in to do the voices for their X-Files characters Dana Scully and Fox Mulder.

Freedom: The Battle for Liberty Island provides two layers of gameplay -- a strategic turn-based mode centering around base operations in the underground sewer and an action mode that unfolds in the streets where fierce battles are won or lost and resources are captured. THQ has informed us know that they have launched the official web site for their upcoming Gamecube role-playing game, "Summoner The Prophecy". The new site has character bios, the latest screens, and a ton of general information. Summoner The Prophecy ships for the GameCube during Q2 2003, and follows Maia, Queen of the Halassar, as she fulfills her prophecy foretold in the ‘Book of the Prophets’.
