One of the year's premier role-playing games hits retail shelves today as Enix America Inc. announced that Grandia Xtreme for the PS2 has shipped to stores. The first-ever original Grandia title developed specifically for the PlayStation 2, Grandia Xtreme features an innovative blend of strategy, exploration and combat.

Ubi Soft Entertainment today announced that it will be sponsoring the forthcoming i14 multiplayer gaming event that will be held this November in Newbury, UK. The involvement of Ubi Soft is part of the promotional campaign for the release next year of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Raven Shield. The event will also be an opportunity for the gaming public to have an exclusive first look at the highly anticipated tactical first person shooter.

Eventhough Harvard Bonin had said earlier that they're going to work on a multiplayer demo, this seems to not be the case. The official forum simply says "No demo". Involved in the project for the past two years, Jacques Villeneuve worked closely with the Ubi Soft development team to provide players with a new racing challenge featuring an emphasis on driver performance. "We wanted a game with innovative and futuristic features that would create a vision of the automobile race of tomorrow as imagined by champion Jacques Villeneuve," commented Sébastien Delen, the game's producer. "Players will be delighted by functions they've never before seen in a video game, such as autopilot and autoreforming of cars."

Today the Massive Development team, a part of the JoWooD group, will publish their first trailer for their action game AquaNox2: Revelation, scheduled for release in November.
