Ubi Soft today announced a licensing agreement with Eidos for Tomb Raider on Game Boy ® Advance. With the new two-year agreement, Ubi Soft acquires exclusive worldwide development and publishing rights for 'Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Prophecy' for the Game Boy Advance. The game will be released this Christmas.

Digital Extremes, a leading interactive game development studio based in London, Ontario, Canada, and best known for its co-creation of the Unreal franchise, today announced the opening of a second studio in Toronto. The new studio called Brainbox Games will focus specifically on game development for the next generation video game systems and is currently in production with its first title.

Columbia Pictures has optioned the rights to develop a science-fiction, action-adventure franchise based on the award-winning PC game "Deus Ex," as announced today by Peter Schlessel, President of Production for Columbia Pictures. The project will be developed and produced by Laura Ziskin, who most recently produced Spider-Man for the studio.
