Showing their appreciation and support to those serving in the military, Activision is partnering with the United Service Organizations (USO) to bring entertainment to the troops this holiday season. Each copy of Call of Duty: Word at War sold sends $10 to the USO, and Activision will also donate more than $100,000 worth of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock merchandise.

Sony has rolled out new PlayStation Store content starting with Qore issue #6, DLCs for LittleBigPlanet (2 free costumes), EndWar Enlistment Pack (3 free units), and Naruto: Ultimate Ninja STORM (free new character and mission). Guitar Hero gets a Oasis Track Pack ($1.99/5.49), while Rock Band gets a President of the Unites States trackpack ($1.99/5.49), and singles from Hinder and Fallout Boy ($.99). Demos are available for Metal Gear Solid 4 and NCAA Basketball 09, and last but not least the usual game/movie trailers and PS3 themes.

Last year Ubisoft announced it was developing a third-person action game based on the Heroes TV series, focusing on the entire cast, and not re-tell or bridge the gap between the two seasons, but instead offer its own insight. The game hasn't really been heard of since and today Ubisoft revealed that it is no longer making a Heroes game, thus the project has been canceled and the rights have been reverted back to series owner NBC.
