Randy Peretzman, Nintendo's vice president of sales, will retire at the end of this year. After 20 years of dedicated service, Peretzman has decided to step down due to health reasons. His first project was the launch of the NES at a time when retailers had little interest in video games.

Take 2 today announced financial results for its Q3 and nine months ended July 31, 2005. Net sales and losses were up 6% and 100%, respectively, from last year. So far, net sales have increased 30%, and net income is $18.3M. Bully (PS2/Xbox) has been delayed to provide additional development time, while Civilization IV is ahead of schedule and has been scooted up into fiscal 2005. An all new IP for the X360 is mentioned, as well as extensions of the Grand Theft Auto franchise.
