Back in early 2007 New Line Cinema (now a unit of Warner Bros.) acquired the movie rights to Epic's action game Gears of War, to be adapted by Stuart Beattie and produced by Temple Hill Entertainment. According to Variety that turns out to be Die Hard 4 helmer Len Wiseman, who previously did Underworld (and sequel). Wiseman is set to make a new draft of the film's screenplay with The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift screenwriter Chris Morgan.
