Strategy First and TimeGate Studios announced today that they have released a patch, version 1.3.5, for the genre busting fantasy real-time strategy game, Kohan: Ahriman’s Gift.

'New World Order' set for release in September 2002 is a single and multiplayer team based shooter developed in Sweden by Termite Games. This highly anticipated game promises to take the first person shooter genre to the next level by combining uncanny graphic detail with adrenaline pumping realistic action. A new research report from DFC Intelligence forecasts that 114 million people worldwide are expected to be playing online games by the year 2006. Furthermore, online game usage is expected to increase nearly six-fold in that period. According to David Cole, president of DFC Intelligence, "Online games should garner significant usage over the next few years. The major question mark is whether individual companies will be able to monetize that usage."

RayLogic has updated their demo for Dark Ore due to a launch problem for Win98/ME users. They had already released their 1.0 version yesterday, but the new 1.1 version of the Dark Ore beta demo is now available at the RayLogic website and as before it requires a 15.2 MB download (thanks Blues).

Saber Interactive unleashes a new batch of 'Will Rock' screens, their upcoming first-person shooter. Using their own Saber 3D engine the game is in development for PC and next-gen consoles.
