In Enclave, the action-oriented role player can choose from 12 different character classes and enjoy long-term fascination in more than 24 detailed levels. A medieval fantasy ambience featuring impressive landscapes, castles, lava caves and city backdrops are bound to enchant the gamers. Ogres, gnomes, and druids tackle their enemies with numerous weapons and pieces of equipment such as swords, battle axes, and catapults. In terms of graphics Enclave features great texture variety, amazing polygon rates, seamless image formation, and, above all, breathtaking special FX. Infogrames, Inc. and BioWare Corp., the creators of the four million selling Baldur’s Gate series, are pleased to announce that Neverwinter Night shipped to retail stores today under Infogrames’ Atari label and will be available for personal computer across North America this week. The highly anticipated Dungeons & Dragons(R) computer game has been rated “T” for Teen by the ESRB and has a suggested retail price of $59.99.

Just noticed over at Blues that the official Battlefield 1942 site announces plans for a beta test of Battlefield 1942, EA's hybrid 3D action game that's nearing completion at Digital Illusions. The sparse page specifies a few system requirements, provides an email address for interested players to submit their apparently rather freeform application, and 50 beta testers will be selected from those who enter.
