In October the high-praised real time strategy play BATTLE REALMS is extended by the ADD on WINTER OF THE WOLF. Noticed over at Blues that Barking Dog Studios has released the final multiplayer demo of Global Operations, available for download from Electronic Arts' ftp server. This version 2.0 demo offers the Antarctica map (as opposed to the Quebec map in the beta demo) from their team-based tactical shooter, and it requires a 98.6 MB download. Also available is a version 2.0.2.3 upgrade (4.8 MB) for the dedicated Linux server.

The series consists of Jagged Alliance 1, Deadly Games, Jagged Alliance 2, and Jagged Alliance: Unfinished Business, released in 1995, 1996, 1998, and 2000 respectively.

The brutal and spectacular gladiator battles of the ancient world serve as inspiration for Gladius, a turn-based action role-playing (RPG) game from LucasArts. Gladius follows the grand saga of two young heroes, Ursula and Valens, as they recruit and train a team of warriors to contend in the fiercely competitive gladiator games. The game supports both single and multiplayer modes and is expected to release spring 2003 on PlayStation 2, Xbox and GameCube.
